In response to a petition by the Women of the Wall (WoW) organization to the High Court of Justice on Monday, 24 Cheshvan, the court issued a temporary order against Israel Police, Kosel Rav Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz Shlita, and the Kosel Heritage Foundation, compelling them to respond within 30 days to the following:
- Why should they not guarantee the right of these women to daven in the ezras noshim of the northern Kosel without disturbance?
- Why aren’t the necessary actions taken against those who seek to disrupt their prayer services? Why are these provocateurs not distanced from the Kosel when they attempt to create disruptions?
This is the result of the long struggle of Rabbi Rabinowitz, the rav of the Kosel and the holy sites, against various organizations that seek to desecrate the sanctity of the Kosel.
In addition, the High Court of Justice announced again that it is expanding the composition of the judges from three to seven (at least) in a women’s petition and a series of Reform organizations against the state regarding their desire to cancel of the status quo at the Kosel.

This is crazy, what’s next Jews for J public prayers at the Kotel? Baptists taking over the Holy Sepracre? The Rabbinate needs to make it clear to the Court that they have no jurisdiction over religious places including the Kotel!
It is high time that the Israeli High Court for Injustice is being dismantled and set up in a different way. They have far too much power and are as arrogant as you could make them.
Q. Why should they not guarantee the right of these women to daven in the ezras noshim of the northern Kosel without disturbance?
A. Because they are provocateurs disturbing and disrupting prayer services at the Kotel.
Q. Why aren’t the necessary actions taken against those who seek to disrupt their prayer services?
A. Because they are not actually praying. Their “prayer services” are in truth just a facade to hide their real agenda.
Q. Why are these provocateurs not distanced from the Kosel when they attempt to create disruptions?
A. Good Question. Why aren’t these provocateurs (WOW) removed and banned from the Kotel?
Weren’t WOW already given a place to pray at the Kotel: Ezras Yisroel? Why don’t they just stay there?
Why don’t they realize that their praying out loud and their type of prayer is against Halacha and disturbs the prayer of the other women in the women’s section and the men in the men’s section at the Kosel?
The High Court of Justice is a civil authority, not a religious authority. It has no right to tell the Kosel Rav what to do.
OF COURSE they can pray undisturbed at the Kotel – everyone can. As long as they respect the sanctity there hovers there, and stop with their shtick.
Just let them pray. Let’s not pretend that this is a religious country. It’s not even close.
