Israel Police officials announce that over the weekend, a 42-year-old resident of Issawiya was arrested for being inside Green Line Israel illegally and on suspicion of assault.
According to police, the suspect was walking around in Bnei Brak wearing peyos and a yarmulke. The complainant, who had a previous business dispute with the suspect, noticed him and demanded his money. In response, the suspect began to hit the complainant in his face. The latter did not require medical attention. The assailant fled the area. Police officers who were called in began extensive search to locate and arrest the suspect.
The suspect was apprehended and interrogated, and was then arraigned in the Tel Aviv Magistrate Court. He detention was extended until Monday, 24 Cheshvan.
