Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon, Housing Minister Yoav Galant, Israel Lands Authority Director Adiel Shimron and Migdal HaEmek Mayor Eli Barda signed an agreement for the construction of more than 6,000 new housing units in Migdal HaEmek.
According to the agreement led by the Ministries of Finance, Construction and Housing, by the end of 2019, 5,674 housing units will be marketed in the city of Migdal HaEmek, plus trade and employment in four areas on state land. These may be added with the approval of the local committee about 1,509 housing units so that the scope of housing units expected for marketing in these years will amount to about 7,183 housing units.
The plan of course also calls for adding public buildings including shuls, schools, parks, community centers, sporting centers, totaling about a billion shekels for the entire program.
