According to Interior Minister Aryeh Deri, the intersection of Shmuel HaNavi Street and Bar Ilan Street will become “Maran Junction” and the Jerusalem Municipality will set a memorial for HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L at the location. The location selected is not far from Maran’s kever, in the Sanhedria Cemetery located a few meters from the intersection.

Earlier this week, while speaking at an event in Rechasim, Deri made the announcement regarding the Jerusalem intersection.

Deri was in Rechasim along with rabbonim and public officials to dedicate “Maran Square” in that community.
