While he admittedly admires his father, Yair Netanyahu announced on Wednesday night during a birthday party for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, that he will never follow his lead and enter politics.

Netanyahu congratulated his father at a party held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem on the occasion of his 68th birthday, saying that he “admires you for the price you are paying for the people and the country.”

At the same time, he stressed: “I will never enter politics” and thus ended the wave of rumors that he was planning to enter the Likud political life.

The Prime Minister at times was asked if he encourages his sons to follow in his footsteps, to enter the political arena, and he said, “definitely not”.
