The Jerusalem Local Planning & Building Committee, headed by Deputy Mayor Meir Turgeman, will approve at its next meeting on Wednesday 5 Cheshvan, the construction of 13 buildings containing 176 housing units in the Nof Tzion neighborhood of the capital. The new housing units are the second stage of the neighborhood, and will be added to Stage A, which includes 7 buildings with about 90 housing units. The newer housing units double the area of Nof Tzion.
The Urban Planning Scheme for the neighborhood was approved in 1994, and Stage A was built a few years ago after the building permits were received.
Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat said, “We are continuing to build and strengthen Jerusalem, and in the 50th year of the unification of the city we are uniting Jerusalem with actions on the ground.”
