Israel launched a spy satellite Monday that will be able to track the goings-on in the territory of its top enemy, Iran, even at night and in cloudy weather, the Associated Press reports.
The TECSAR satellite developed by Israel Aerospace Industries operates with an advanced radar system, allowing it to view much more than its existing Ofek satellites that use cameras, defence officials said on condition of anonymity since they were not authorized to talk to the press.
The company confirmed the satellite launching in a statement.
“The TECSAR is the first satellite of its kind developed in Israel, and ranks among the world’s most advanced space systems,” the statement said.

how is it a Spy Satellite, if its all over the news ?
Synthetic aperture radar satellites have been around for decades.
Isreal’s space capabilities rank up there, but hardly “one of the world’s most advanced spy satellites”.
Interesting vort from the Chofetz Chaim on why we have all this technology. It’s an indication of the lack of emunah. When previous generations saw written “ayin ro’eh, v’ozen shoma’as, ve’hakol besefer nichtavim”, they believed it with emunah sheleimah.
Nowadays, we need technology to show us that it is possible in tevah, because we have a hard time believing it b’emunah.
SSHHH! No comments Let’s keep this top secret
It canot see under ground!!!! The Iranians adapted to this type of spying.
