There was a fatal motor vehicle accident on Betzalel Bazak Street in Jerusalem on Monday, 26 Tishrei in which one man was killed and two were injured seriously, in addition to three others who sustained light injuries. Magen David Adom paramedics and EMTs responded to the scene as did United Hatzalah EMS personnel.

The EMS teams tried saving the life of a male in his 30s who was hit on his bicycle, but ultimately, they were compelled to pronounce him dead on the scene. The others were transported to local hospitals. A 20 and 30-year-old male were transported to Shaare Zedek Hospital together with two persons who sustained light injuries. Another person with light injuries was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, a total of five persons were treated.

MDA paramedics Re’em Ne’emi and Itzik Asraf reported it was a difficult scene in which a private vehicle collided with the bicycle. The bike rider was trapped from the force of the collision, trapped and in cardiac arrest. The other victim in serious condition sustained abdominal injuries and transported from the scene rapidly to Shaare Zedek Hospital for emergency surgery.
