After a security assessment was made, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman has decided to impose a closure on PA (Palestinian Authority) and Hamas-controlled Gaza beginning at midnight Wednesday, 14 Tishrei (Tuesday night to Wednesday).

This means PA residents from Yehuda and Shomron and Gaza residents will not be permitted to enter into Israel. For PA residents if refers to crossing the Green Line into “Israel proper”.

As is always the case, exceptions are made in cases of humanitarian need.

The closure will be lifted at Shabbos midnight in line with the security assessment at that time.
