Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Tuesday, 6 Tishrei, met with settlement leaders, who were armed with a list of demands pertaining to allocations, budgets and more as they alleged they have been treated most unfairly for too long.
The meeting reportedly ended with decisions as Mr. Netanyahu said “We believe the Americans plan to present their political plan on the table in the near future. I succeeded in persuading them there is no such concept as “settlement blocs”.
Israel media reports the Prime Minister has frozen the construction of over 100 units in the Ramot area of Yerushalayim despite the plan meeting all the criteria necessary to move ahead.
Channel 10 News adds during the meeting with settlement leaders, Jordan Valley regional leader David Elchiani pulled out a mobile phone and began photographing Mr. Netanyahu and was censured for his behavior by the Prime Minister’s aides as the meeting was to have been without phones [which is generally the case for security reasons].
This led to shouts and Elchiani is quoted saying, “The Prime Minister is a big boy. It is fine to photograph him”. Aides reportedly responded to Elchiani with a few choice expletives.
