Former cabinet minister Rabbi Professor Daniel Hershkowitz has steps down as head of Bar-Ilan University at the end of this week and will be replaced by Professor Aryeh Tzaban.

Hershkowitz commented in his remarks during the parting ceremony “I take Bar-Ilan with me, the true friendship that was form there with members of academia, friends from administration, and the directors. It was four exciting years that I was privileged to stand at the head of this outstanding institution that uniquely integrates our rich Jewish heritage with the world of science”.
