Two IDF ‘Sky Rider’ Drones Crash In Hebron And Beit Lechem

Two IDF “sky rider” pilotless drone aircraft fell and crashed on Monday, 5 Tishrei 5778. They fell in the Hebron and Beit Lechem areas. These were not carrying sensitive or classified data, officials explain. The commander of IDF Ground Forces Division Major-General Kobi Barak has grounded sky riders pending the outcome of the probe into the crash.

In both cases, soldiers were sent to locate them and they were found and recovered. The sky riders provide real time intelligence information to the IDF and in their case, information is not stored on the craft, just relayed, eliminating concerns of an information leak when they went down.
