Rosh Hashanah is almost upon us and the time of year is synonymous with cleaning the countless number of kvitlach from the Kosel. As always, the operation is led by Rav of the Kosel and Holy Sites Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz Shlita. In addition to the clearing of kvitlach, the integrity of the stones is also inspected to make certain none ever break lose chas v’sholom.

The countless quantity of kvitlach ultimately land out on Har HaZeisim, where they are buried. They are also cleared before the spring, ahead of Pesach.
