A to’eva parade is scheduled to take place in Yerushalayim on Thursday, 14 Menachem Av 5772. As in previous years, the Eida Chareidis seems to feel ignoring it is the best course of action. Nevertheless, a protest will be held at Kikar Shabbos but not near the parade as there should not by any confrontations. That will begin at 17:00.
The pashkavilim state that not only has Jerusalem City Hall attacked shabbos and kedusha in the city; it has turned the center of the city into a center for treif, tuma and to’eva. It also states that the event will take place on a main street in the city, enjoying funding from the “Evil Zionist government, a regular partner of Jerusalem City Hall”.

Please let’s not blame city hall for this.
Let’s not even blame Yerushalaiim’s mayor.
Let there be protests in front of those in our frum camp who actively worked to defeat Meir Porush when he was running against Barakat.
They let petty politics and Kavod issues put this man – who is a Tinuk SheNishba ignorant of Torah – into being the Mayor of Yerushalaiim.
Without their help, Barakat would never have been elected and this parade would never have been.
So let’s put the blame where it really belongs.
“…Without their help, Barakat would never have been elected and this parade would never have been.”
Please get your facts straight.
Under Agudas Yirsroel Mayor Uri Lupolianski, there were such parades every year, funded by jerusalem City hall, under the orders of the Israeli Supreme Court.
This is dangerous stuff, playing defying G-D in His Holy City. Who knows what the consequences will be in this very dangerous time in Eretz Yisroel.
Can we get a cheirem for the Jerusalem Woodstock Revival concert (happening the same night, at Kraft Stadium which is at the north end of Gan Sacker) too? It’s got goyish music, kol isha, and it might disturb night seder in Nachlaot.
