On his Facebook page, Chaggai Amir, who was recently released from prison, explains that the plot to assassinate Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin began two years prior to the act. He explains there was no connection to the incitement against the government in the months leading up to the assassination, explaining it was nothing more than the left-wings vehicle to justify hounding the right-wing. “The right-wing in its naiveté plays along” he explains, “as we decided to kill Rabin two years earlier because he signed the Oslo Agreement”.

Amir was released after serving a 16.5 year prison term for his part in the conspiracy to murder the prime minister and following his release he launched a Facebook page which is growing in popularity.
