Over 57,000 Talmidim in Bnei Brak


In the coming school year, 5773 there will be 57,310 talmidim registered in mosdos chinuch in Bnei Brak BA”H. This marks an increase from this year’s 56,500, representing the largest student body in the Gush Dan area.

There will be 39,359 talmidim in 33 elementary schools the daily HaMevaser reports, of which 13,750 will be in Chinuch Atzmai affiliated mosdos; 1,600 in mosdos the HaTorani network, and 959 in state religious public schools. 13,100 will be in public talmidei torah, 8,150 in yeshivos ketanos, 300 in mainstream special education and 500 in special education.

7,600 talmidim will be in 13 mosdos above elementary schools, 5,900 of them in chareidi mosdos, 1,400 in state religious schools, and 300 in special education mosdos.

Kindergarten – 8,379 students in 256 classes run by the municipality and the remainder in public buildings as follows – 5,078 of them are chareidi, 493 state religious, 108 state public, 1,900 public owned and 800 special ed. There are 2,972 talmidim registered in the various area public schools.

Mayor Rav Yaakov Asher is pleased that there will be a number of new buildings, including the Lev Tov, Razi Li, Ish Matzliach, and Ohr Mordechai talmidei torah along with Seminar Elkaiyam, Amalnios Seminar, and Wolf. There are others in the advanced stage of construction.
