If there are no changes by Pepsi officials, mispallalim visiting Uman for Rosh Hashanah will not see bottles of Pepsi Cola. This is because the local factory will not permit a mashgiach in to observe. Hence, the Badatz Eida Chareidis has removed Pepsi from the list of permissible drinks.
It appears the Eida has learned the sugar used in the Ukraine Pepsi factory is manufactured in a factory that also produces grape sugar, and this situation demands a mashgiach as far as the Eida is concerned.
Eida officials explained they must see this and they cannot rely on anyone’s word. The factory management was adamant in their refusal, unwilling to permit a mashgiach in the factory. Pepsi Diet and Max however will be used since they do not contain sugar, Ladaat News reports.

So bring in Coca-Cola or Snapple or Vitamin Water or any other sugary drink like Red Bull so you can stay up the entire three day yom tov in Uman! You’ll be a little (or maybe a lot) meshugah tired but you’ll be alive and hopping for the music and dancing on Motazai Shabbos!
how can you have a Shune Tova Imsiku without the SUGAR?
I’m surprised their not placing a temporary banned on all of their drinks. If Pepsi sees a large loss of profit this year they will most likely be more cooperative next year.
Also, coke in Ukrane is mamash treif (i think they use glycerin) so they used to only drink sprite and pepsi.
It is not true that Coca Cola is treif. The concentrate comes from France which is checked on a regular basis. The rumors about Coca Cola were based on false outdated information.
