Speaking at a forum hosted in Holon on Wednesday, 8 Elul, Education Minister Naftali Bennet announced he is significantly curtailing Chanukah vacation for students in the nation’s public schools.
The minister explained he plans to begin with this coming Chanukah, citing there will be fewer days off. “There is a great desire on the part of the parents regarding shortening vacation days and reducing payments. We did a great deal this year and saved a lot for parents. I asked the parents’ organizations about your priorities because I cannot do everything. They said unequivocally-vacations and this will begin this coming Chanukah in Israel.
