VIDEOS/PHOTOS: MKs Glick And Muallem Visit Har Habayis For The First Time In 2 Years

MKs Shuli Muallem (Bayit Yehudi) and Yehuda Glick (Likud) on Tuesday, 7 Elul, took advantage of the one-day lifting of the ban prohibiting MKs from visiting Har Habayis. The two were on the holy site during the early morning hours, reiterating their commitment to the site and the ability of Israelis to visit without restrictions.

This is the first time since November 2015 that MKs have entered the compound. Police set several conditions on the visit, including requiring Jewish MKs to follow a specific route, and to use the Mughrabi Gate, near the Kosel, to enter the site. Arab MKs were allowed to visit the site as well, but all declined.

Glick led a group and Muallem can be heard thanking law-enforcement and IDF troops for protecting the site and maintaining order, which enables them and others to visit the site.
