Hashovas Aveida: $10,000 Lost On A Bus In Israel Returned


An Israel Police Dan district spokesperson reports that $10,000 lost on a bus in the area was returned. The money was returned on Wednesday, 2 Rosh Chodesh Elul following major efforts by police lost and found officials to find the rightful owner.

Last Thursday, an official employed by the Afikim Bus Company arrived in a Ramat Gan police station and explained one of his drivers a day earlier, during the nighttime shift, found a sum of money in dollars wrapped in a rubber band. The driver of the 422 bus from Bnei Brak to Jerusalem found the package upon inspection of the bus at the end of his shift. The company official brought it to police asking assistance in locating the owner of the money.

Police placed an ad in local newspapers explaining to the tzibur in Bnei Brak that a sum of money was located by police, left on a bus. The owner called and provided sufficient information to persuade police of his claim.
