A ceremony was held near the tziyun of Rav Nachman ZT”L in the presence of the rav of the Breslov community in Uman, Rav Yaakov Jon as well as the head of Hatzoloh Ukraine, Rav Hillel Cohen. The new first responders received their medical kits, communications device and vest and will now become a part of the response team serving the area round-the-clock, including Shabbos Kodesh.

The international dispatch of United Hatzalah works in cooperation with Hatzoloh Ukraine, responding to emergency calls round the clock. The emergency number for United Hatzalah in the Ukraine is 063-800-1221, with officials stressing the organization operates within the same strict halachic framework on Shabbos as seen elsewhere.

United Hatzalah officials report they work hand-in-hand in the Ukraine with Rabbi Hillel Cohen, who heads the local Hatzoloh.
