Israel Police in the Negev district announced on Wednesday, 24 Menachem Av, that 55 criminal indictments were handed down against persons inside Green Line Israel illegally. All of the 55 are denied bail, being held pending the outcome of their trial. The illegals were apprehended last week in an operation by border police in the Bedouin communities of the Negev.

Police report these illegals are all too often involved in crimes as well as acts of terrorism, and police will use the full weight of the law against them and those who assist them with food and lodging. In cases in which the illegal was operated in a place of business, his employer is also facing a criminal indictment for providing employment.

In addition to the Bedouin communities, illegals were apprehended in Kibbutz N’vei Zohar and the Isrotel Hotel in the Dead Sea.
