What was once called the College of Judea and Samaria in Ariel in Shomron has finally been granted full university status by Israel�s Board of Higher Education. After years of foot dragging and promises, the board on Tuesday evening voted 11-2 in favor of granting full university status, permitting it to become Israel�s eight full university.

Final approval for the change in status must be granted by the IDF�s Central District Commander but this is viewed more as formality than an additional hurdle.
