Osama bin Laden made an unusually sharp threat of attacks against Israel in a new audiotape posted on the Web today.
“I would like to assure our people in Palestine that we will expand our jihad there,” he said. “We intend to liberate Palestine, the whole of Palestine from the (Jordan) river to the sea,” he continued, threatening “blood for blood, destruction for destruction.”
Bin Laden has frequently vowed to liberate Jerusalem and Palestine in their messages. But the latest comments were a more direct language than bin Laden usually uses. Israel has warned of growing Al-Qaida activity in Palestinian territory, but the terror network is not believed to have taken a strong direct role there so far.
Most of the 56-minute tape dealt with Iraq, in the latest attempt by Al-Qaida to keep its supporters and other insurgents in Iraq unified behind it at a time when the US military claims to have al-Qaeda’s Iraq branch on the run.
The authenticity of the tape could not be independently confirmed. But the voice resembled that of bin Laden. The tape was posted on an Islamic militant Web site where Al-Qaida’s media arm, Al-Sahab, issues the group’s messages.
The tape was the fifth message released by bin Laden this year.

“But the latest comments were a more direct language than bin Laden usually uses.”
Is it scary to just contemplate that we are so familiar with this rasha, we even are aware of the way he “usually” speaks.
V’chol harishaa k’rega toveid!!!!
Eileh barechev, v’eileh basussim, va’anachnu beSheim Hashme Elokeinu nazkir.
Why is the picture upside doen?
Gut Voch everybody…
May HKB’Hu take care of him and his supporters
while we learn Torah in peace
when reshaim were bothering rabbi meyer’ his wife suggested he should daven they do teshuva instead of they should die he did so and they did teshuva. maybe we should do the same
assur l’histakel bfnei rasha. thanks YW for putting in his pictue like this. I hope in the future you would put other rishaim u report about on the same way. like amanjadadadadad….
This rasha is likely long dead, with his cohorts unable to bear this fact spewing out this junk in his name using an impostor.
like it states in nach, arabs will take over before meshiach comes. so let’s get saved from chelvei mohiach like the gemara says by learning torah and doing gemilas, and not driving the latst model suv.
#4 Because we shouldn’t look at the face of a rasha. Yeshiva World shouldn’t include photos of resha’im even upside down. If they’re desperate for a photo, they could use their shoes.
The Gemara states that it is prohibited to gaze at the face of a Rasha. The Magen Avraham explains that this means that one is not allowed to take a long look, concentrating on his image and figure.
Will someone please explain to me why it is better if he is upside down???
It’s the same Rosho just at a different angle????????
Please forgive my ignorance…
I agree with Joseph that he’s probably long dead.
#6: The reshaim bothering R’ Meir were Jewish, so his wife’s observation is applicable.
For goyim, it’s not.
#8: I don’t think so.
#6: The Talmidei Hagraa in Sefer Emunah Ubitachon write that Rishus beyond repention is a chiyuv to daven for death. Todays Gedolim have said this applies to todays leaders of the Jewish state.
#10 Does it it say “Asur lehistakel bitmunat rosheh” or “Bifnay”. If somebody looks at a rasha’s face it gives out bad influences, but how do you know that a picture is the same.
Lehavdil elef alfay havdalos I use to say to somebody who had a picture of harav Shach Zatza”l in the reason of “Vehoyu eynecho roos es morecho” untill he started to kiss!!! the picture so I told him that there is no isur to put the picture in fire, it has no Kdushah. Of course to see a picture of a great Gadol is not so bad but you have to take things in the right proportion.
I hope you got my point.
I agree with number 12
Osama: Bla, bla, bla, bla, bla………………..
Wondering why he’s not speaking like he usually does? Cuz he’s DEAD! seriously tho, it’s just as scary to think that his people believe that he still has enough power to influence muslims enough to carry out their jihad plans, simply from a recording of him.
where does it say rabbi meirs enemies were jewish
