A Jerusalem police spokesman unit report states Arab violence and attacks in the capital continued on motzei Tisha B’Av, including a rock attack against the Jerusalem light rail near Shuafat. There were no injuries Baruch Hashem but there was damage to a car door and glass.
A number of firebombs were thrown at a Silwan security vehicle. B’chasdei Hashem, once again, no injuries. The firebomb did result in a brush fire that spread to an adjacent garage, leading to damage to a number of vehicles.
Police and border police were busied during the night in a number of flashpoints including the Shuafat Refugee Camp, where three arrests were made. When the force left Shuafat it came under attack by dozens, who were hurling stones at them. Police used riot-control adjuncts to disperse them.
