Following the decision of the IDF Appeals Court, to reject the appeal of Elor Azariya, both Prime Minister and Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman called to pardon the former soldier. The court ruled the manslaughter conviction would not be overturned and the 18-month prison term will remain as well.
In a tweet shortly after the ruling was announced, the Prime Minister stated his opinion has not changed since the last verdict and he plans to call to pardon the young former soldier. Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman following the verdict instructed the family not to appeal to the High Court but to request a pardon.
A pardon may be granted by either IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Gadi Eizenkott or President Reuven Rivlin, but only when he begins serving his prison term. A request for a pardon must also be accompanied by an expression of remorse.
The Appeals Court granted ten days before Azariya must begin his sentence to permit him to appeal to the High Court of Justice.

His statement of remorse should say, quote, ” I feel awful that I killed that one terrorist!” end quote, AND HADN’T HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO KILL MORE!!
What a “CHEAP CROOKED VERDICT” by these judges!!!! Only jewish blood is cheap that all these terrorists get away with murder and are even swapped by the government for prisoners—even though they return to their old murderous ways!! About time to judge equally for ALL…..
