  1. So which is it? If there were serious kashrus violations why would the badatz eidah chareidis agree to take over the kashrus and if it was strictly a money / business decision why would the Agudah say there were serious kashrus violations without elaborating. Something smells more rotten than a container of cottage cheese left out in the hot summer sun.

  2. I don’t understand how this works.

One Kashrus organization removes its Hashgocho due to Kashrus violations and another Kashrus organization ‘moves in’ and gives them a Hashgocho.??? Now everything is fine and Kosher??? Someone, please explain to me what occurred here.
I could understand that when a “reliable” Kashrus organization removes its Hashgocho, a rinky-dink, second-tier somewhat Kosher overseer sees a chance to make a buck and moves in with their worthless hashgocho but that doesn’t seem to be the case here. I am under the impression that all the organizations involved in the above article are farleslech – reliable. Someone please explain.

  3. This is a ridiculous article. These types of infighting among kashrus organizations and/or games played by the companies are of no importance whatsoever. It could be a) companies getting better deal through eidah and purposely angered agudah to make agudah drop them.b)eidah pushing agudah out behind the scenes or something else.In any event it is normal kosher industry business,or any business, inside problems which do not connect to the kashrus itself.
From the title it seems like a serious issue and pointing out to us what formerly kosher products to keep away from.In the end all it tells us is that there is some childish politics afloat in the kashrus business,as if we thought there wasn’t.Unless there is a serious kashrus issue or a serious wrongdoing by a kashrus organization, or, for that matter, a good action from a kashrus organization, don’t give us worthless news.
