A 46-year-old Egged bus driver, a resident of Yerucham, was taken into police custody on Sunday morning 7 Av after it was determined he was legally drunk at the wheel.

Police report the breathalyzer confirmed his blood alcohol level was 20 times the legal limit. He was jailed and questioning by police and then arraigned, his license suspended and remand extended by the court for four days.

Police plan to expedite handing down an indictment against the driver.
