The Mifal HaPayis national lottery authority distributed 244 laptop computers to teachers in the Shomron Regional Council in a ceremony attended by Gershon Mesika, the head of the regional council, as well as lottery and local officials. The laptop campaign is valued at 775,000 NIS and it is part of the Ministry of Education’s “Adopting to the 21st Century” campaign.

Lottery head Uzi Dayan told the crowd that this is another example of just how the funds generated by the national lottery are returned to assist communities around the country.
