The placement of new high-tech security cameras at the Lion’s Gate entrance to Har Habayis on Motzei Shabbos, the most frequently used entrance by Muslims, resulted in many Islamic worshipers refusing to visit the site on Sunday, unwilling to comply with the new security realities. The cameras can detect if one is armed and this person would be pulled from the general line by security agents operating at the scene.
Signaling Israel’s willingness to back down in response to mounting Islamic pressure, IDF Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) Major-General Yoav Mordechai over Shabbos signaled Israel may be willing to remove the metal detectors for as long at the cameras were operational. The cameras signal if one is carrying a weapon and that person would then be pulled to the side and inspected.
While Israel continues to insist it is committed to the status quo on Har Habayis, the Muslim community says the placement of the magnetometers says otherwise, demanding their immediate and unconditional removal.

The whole world is suffering in every air port because Muslims began hijacking planes. Let them get a taste of their own infliction!!!!!

great news, if they don’t come to Har HaBayit, maybe we can dismantle the mosques and begin to build the Bais HaMikdash – and all of this happening during the 3 weeks!
To quote Sara Yocheved Rigler:

So the issue is not the metal detectors. That’s just the official excuse to satisfy theire bloodlust. Israel should not back down even if the metal detector will likewise be removed from the Mecca shrine.
Why in the world would the Israeli government remove the cameras? If the Arabs don’t wish to come and pray there, it’s their prerogative. As an aside, being that they only have peaceful intentions anyway (right?), what’s their issue?
Does anyone in the entire world care that the “muslim worshipers refuse to enter Har Habayis”? So don’t! And of course the Israelis should not back down! And if the animal muslims come onto the Har Habayis with weapons, that also changes the status quo! They should all drop dead very soon!

ahavas_yisroel. You are wrong. The problem is that a great part, well into the majority, of the political world does care that they refuse to enter Har Habayis. I see you ask, what about the cameras round the British Parliament, the US Senate, the Vatican, the Haj in Saudi Arabia? They don’t care about those because the Jews didn’t put up the cameras. That is the whole difference. Maybe you are right, no one cares about the Muslims and their make believe prayers, they care about being PC and slagging off the Jews.
