A huge fire is burning out of control in Montenegro, in two locations in the south and north of the country.
Following a request for assistance received by the Foreign Ministry’s Status Center from the NATO Control Center in Brussels, the director of the State Center, Herzl Edri, initiated and offered assistance to the Montenegrin through Ambassador Alona Fischer, who was also trained in Montenegro.
Upon receipt of an official letter requesting assistance from the Montenegrin and the decision of Foreign Ministry Director-General Yuval Rotem, the Director of the Situation Center initiated a process of coordination with the relevant bodies, the IDF, the Prime Minister’s Office, Air Force planes to carry equipment and aid teams.
A government spokesman adds, “We attach great importance to international cooperation and mutual assistance between the countries in this channel.
“The State of Israel sends aid teams to join the work of the aid teams of Bulgaria and Ukraine. The first plane will leave tonight (Wednesday, 25 Tammuz) and the others tomorrow.
The Israeli Embassy in Belgrade was instructed to accept the aid delegation on the ground.
