Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on motzei Shabbos, held a telephone consultation on the issue of Har Habayis following the fatal attack on Erev Shabbos. It was decided to gradually open Har Habayis to worshippers, visitors and tourists beginning on Sunday afternoon 22 Tammuz. It was decided that the entrance gates to Har Habayis would be equipped with metal detectors and that cameras would be installed outside the Mount to cover events on the Mount. Additional security steps will be taken later.

Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan, Israel Police Chief Ronni Alsheich, Shin Bet Director Nadav Argaman and Jerusalem District Police Commander Yoram Halevy participated in the consultation.
