A Jerusalem police spokesman reports the discovery of and confiscation of illegal weapon in Tzur Bahar. As soon as the wife of the major suspect detected the police presence, she was seen throwing an item from a window. Police uncovered the weapon, magazines and ammunition. A local resident was taken into custody.

Police explain the operation was part of ongoing efforts to track down illegal weapons sales, which are used to supply criminal and terrorist elements.
