A Shai (Shomron-Yehuda) police report for the past week details what was done in traffic enforcement in those areas.
914 summonses were issued, most for vehicular bullying and offenses that place human life at risk. There were also 21 licenses revoked, 27 vehicles taken off the road, 10 vehicles ordered off the road permanently and 57 summonses for illegal use of a cellular phone while operating a vehicle.
On Route 60 in the Hebron district, a motorcycle was stopped for a routine inspection. The driver was a PA (Palestinian Authority) resident of Hebron. It was learned that he never had a license and this was the second time he was apprehended. A fake gun was also found in his possession. The motorcycle was impounded for 30 days and the suspect taken to the Ofir Military Court for a hearing.
On Wednesday night, in the Maale Adumim district, a vehicle was pulled over for routine inspection. The female driver was a new driver, who appears under the influence of alcohol. She refused to take a breathalyzer test. It is pointed out this was the second time she was arrested for appearing intoxicated. The driver, a Jerusalem resident, had her license suspended for 30 days and she was brought before a court on Thursday for expeditious justice.
