The head of the Shuvu Banim community Rabbi Eliezer Berland, who remains under house arrest, collapsed a number of times in recent days. On Monday, 18 Sivan, he was taken to a hospital for a brief treatment and released to his home after a short time.

According to persons close to the rav, he was weakened because he stands for prolonged periods of time in tefilos, on weekdays as well as on Shabbos.

Doctors feel he has pneumonia, recommending admitting him to the hospital before Shabbos but he refused, insisting on returning home where he is able to have tefilla with a minyan.
