Radio Kol Chai has appointed veteran news personality Betzalel Kahn as the stations editor-in-chief for news content.

Kahn has worked in the past on the station, as well as Israel Radio. He was a media advisor for Betar Illit City Hall for a number of years and also employed in the past with Yated Ne’eman. After these positions he launched his private consulting service.

In this new post he will have the final say regarding news reports and broadcast content regarding news.

The move may be prompted by dropping popularity of the station, which seems to be losing in the ratings to Kol Berama Radio, which continues to show an increase.
