The method providing an open field for special taxis to Ben-Gurion Airport will continue to operate for the airport’s two primary routes. As of money, 18 Sivan, the Airports Authority will operate a “reduced price” model for a Ben-Gurion Airport taxi ride from the ground floor.
As part of the “reduced price” model, every registered taxi in Israel will be able to pick up passengers from Ben-Gurion Airport and as of late May in order to lower the price of the taxi fare. The NIS 5.00 payment set out in the Supervision Order (in addition to an exemption from authorization fees of NIS 5.80) and will enable drivers to roll the discount to the public.
Taxi drivers who will reduce the price of passengers by 12% of the price to the 70 destinations advertised in the ministry’s supervision order will be able to collect passengers entering the country from the exit level from the reception hall (Level G).
The total price of the trip, which is a 12% discount on the list price, will be offered to the passenger prior to the trip since the taxis allowed in Israel are calibrated on the list price.
Taxis who wish to collect the price stipulated in the Supervision Order (taxi fare), 2016, will be permitted to collect the passengers on the mezzanine level (level 2 designated for public transportation) after registering and paying NIS 5 (included in the price list of the Supervision Order).
This arrangement will be in effect until the tender is published and a new franchisee enters Ben-Gurion Airport.
