(UPDATE IN EXTENDED STORY) 3:46PM EST: 3:46PM EST: A senior Islamic Jihad terrorist, along with two others were eliminated this evening after Israeli aircraft fired a missile at the vehicle they were traveling in. According to multiple reports, the vehicle was packed with explosives – and explosions were heard throughout Gaza City.
Defense Minister Ehud Barak promised residents of Sderot that the IDF would step up its activities to stop Kassam rocket attacks.
An IDF spokesman told Haaretz, that the target of the airstrike was Majed Harazin, a senior Islamic Jihad militant in charge of Kassam Rocket squads responsible for incessant barrages of Kassam rockets against southern Israel.
Immediately following the strike, Islamic Jihad terrorists took to the streets vowing revenge against Israel.
UPDATE 10:45PM EST: The IDF confirms that they have carried out another strike on a Kassam Rocket firing squad who were en-route to a launching pad. IN this second strike, an additional three terrorists were eliminated – including a “master rocket maker”.
An Islamic Jihad spokesman told news reporters that “all bets are off, prepare for suicide bombings.”

What I really get a kick out of, is when Islamic Jihad promises revenge for the death of the martyr following a suicide bombing. Revenge, huh? Who killed him?
