Authorities shut down a pirate whiskey operation based in Akko. Municipality inspectors working with Health Ministry inspectors arrived at the operation and found dozens of cartons of pirated alcoholic drinks, some posing a health hazard to the tzibur at large.

A 50-year-old Akko resident was detained for questioning.
