A criminal indictment has been filed against 50-year-old Larisa Yantzku, a caretaker who allegedly assaulted the 78-year-old Holocaust Survivor in her charge. The indictment states that a dispute broke out between the two regarding a cellular phone, and the caretaker shouted at the victim, knocked her to the ground and then physically assaulted her including punching her in her face.
The indictment adds the caretaker was intoxicated at the time, when she was caring for the elderly woman.
During the police investigation, Larisa admitted to the charges against her, but states the elderly woman she cares for locked her in the home and took her cellular phone, leading to the situation that followed. She insists the assault was self-defense due to the circumstances.
