Following a prolonged period of construction, on Sunday, 10 Sivan, a new section of Highway 1; the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv Highway will be opened to motorists.
The section is from Motza to Shar HaGai. Minister of Transportation Yisrael Katz reports that with the opening of the new section, the speed limit will increase from 90KPH to 110KPH.
The Netiv Yisrael Company recently completed the paving of the new area, with a third lane in both directions that will connect to Harel Tunnels and the Motza Bridge.
