A chareidi youth died R”L as a result of fatal drowning in a pool on Shmuel HaNagid Street in Petach Tikvah on Erev Shabbos, a week before his bar mitzvah.
The incident occurred at 4:00PM erev Shabbos when persons at the pool detected the body on the bottom of the pool. He was pulled out and CPR began as EMS was summoned. Resuscitation efforts continued during transport, as he was taken to Schneider Children’s Hospital in the city, where doctors pronounced him dead.
B’chasdei Hashem, with the assistance of Zaka and autopsy was prevented despite police calls to perform one. The child, Moshe Bistricher, was a talmid in the Mishkenos Yaakov Yeshiva in Bnei Brak. His levaya was on Sunday at 11:30AM from the family home at 13 Uziel Street to the Mishkenos Yaakov Shul in Bnei Brak to the Segulah Cemetery in Petach Tikvah for Kvura.
