MK (Yesh Atid) Yair Lapid was quick to respond via Facebook, angrily, regarding “Extremist chareidim” on motzei Shabbos that burned IDF soldiers in effigy in Lag B’Omer fires. On Purim, they hung soldiers in effigy in Meah Shearim. Last week, they broke the gate to an IDF base and entered and created a ruckus.
“Is Israel still a nation of law and order? There is no problem tracking these people down and no problem to arrest them. There is also no problem indicting them.
“This government, which responds to every pip of a junior journalist in a local newspaper in Australia, cannot keep silent in the face of madness. After all, it is not a struggle between the chareidim and the secular – an absolute majority of the chareidim are shocked by these actions and insanity like all citizens of Israel”.
“IDF soldiers must not be abandoned. We have to investigate, stop, and punish”.

Lapid is full of it.A few extremists burning effigies doesn’t hurt anyone and the Arabs have been doing it for years ,as well as burning Israeli flags ,without any repercussions.What is FAR MORE DANGEROUS are the leftists who can really destroy Israel ,the IDF but also want to destroy Torah and the Jewish people.
