Zaka has launched it new command center in Meron, holding a ceremony to open its new Meron command center, affixing a mezuzah prior to the official opening. Zaka CEO Yehuda Meshi-Zahav was on hand along with Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz and other public officials. Israel Police Chief Rabbi Rami Barchiyahu and Israel Police N. District Commander Superintendent Anshel Friedman.
Rav Barchiyahu, who spend Shabbos in the Zaka complex, was given the kovod of affixing the mezuzah.
Last Lag B’Omer, Zaka volunteers operating in Meron on Lag B’Omer reunited 430 lost children with family members. Anyone see a lost child or has lost their child in Meron phone the Zaka emergency number; 1220.
Zaka will also distribute over 120,000 bottles of water to mispallalim this Lag B’Omer.
