Yolish Krauss, the operations officer of the Eida Chareidis, entered Massiyahu Prison on Wednesday morning 14 Iyar to being serving his five-month sentence after being convicted of operating an illegal slaughterhouse in Meah Shearim. Krauss is also ordered to pay a fine of NIS 250,000.

Before entering prison, Krauss explained that his conviction and imprisonment have nothing to do with illegal activities, but simply to stifle his voice. He explained that he operated the slaughterhouse as a gemach to help families in Meah Shearim and he was convicted because state officials wished to silence his voice, a strong anti-state voice.
