The Gaza border community of Netiv HaAsarah is expanding and an additional seventy homes are being built, each on a plot of a half dunam, which is about to a quarter of an acre.
Most of the plots were purchased by the children of founders of the community and this construction project is the community’s second expansion. The new homes will of course come with their own safe rooms, built to withstand the realities of being a Gaza border community.
Community Council head Shimon Sahar explains the demand for building is increasing and to his pleasure, the community is moving forward with the new homes. The community is planning an additional expansion, to bring I from 800 to 1,300 persons living in 500 homes. He adds that despite the security realities in the area, they continue receiving requests for people looking to move in.
