HaPeles Turns To Readers In A Desperate Appeal For Funds

The HaPeles newspaper, the spokesmen for the Peleg community, has turned to its readers to donate as it is in separate need of funds. The newspaper is asking for urgent loans, from NIS 10,000 and higher, which would be returned in monthly payments.

The request for funds comes shortly following the arrest of senior Peles officials, who may face criminal charges of extortion in their alleged effort to pressure large firms into advertising in the newspaper. HaPeles officials blame leaders of the Degel faction for blacklisting advertisers in an effort to shut down their voice in the litvish chareidi tzibur.
