Oded Revivi, Chief Foreign of the YESHA Council and Mayor of Efrat made the following statement in anticipation of the Trump-Abbas meeting later today:

“Trump needs to dump Abbas for peace. Mahmoud Abbas is a dictator that doesn’t represent the Palestinian street. He speaks of a peace process while paying salaries to convicted terrorists and imprisoning Palestinian peace activists. Abbas and the corrupt Palestinian Authority are the problem, not the solution.” Said Oded Revivi, Chief Foreign Envoy of the YESHA Council, which represents the 450,000 Israeli residents of Judea and Samaria.

Revivi added: “After more than two-decades of failed negotiations, it’s time that the American administration to invest in peace from the ground-up – empowering the residents of Judea and Samaria, both Palestinian and Israeli to build bridges not walls. The 450,000 Israelis and over 1 million Palestinians are here to stay and much can be done without trying to force the failed two-state formula upon us from above.”
