Preparations for LA B’Omer in Meron continue around the tziyun of the Rashbi. The large 1,700-seat hachnasas orchim tent is in place and air conditioning will be installed. The kitchens are abuzz as meals are being prepared for as many as 350,000 portions.

Many volunteers and paid professionals are involved in the massive preparations, including United Hatzalah, which undertakes servicing the largest single event held in Eretz Yisrael annually. The organization’s preparations involve a great deal of logistics and manpower as it maintains a fleet of first responders in the Meron area as well as a medical clinic that enables doctors to treat and release many patients during Lag B’Omer week; thereby avoiding many transportations to area hospitals.
