A criminal indictment was handed down against 54-year-old Simona Raz of Petach Tikvah for assault against a helpless minor, referring to her daycare center in which she was responsible for three infants including Daniel Grayson, who was 4.5-months-old at the time.

In February 2016, the child was placed into the daycare center by his mom. The baby cried during the day and Raz allegedly held him with both hands and shook him violently. At 4:00PM the mother came to get Daniel, unaware of what occurred.

Mom noticed her son was not seeing, his head was drooping and he was unresponsive to his surroundings. He was hospitalized in Schneider Children’s Hospital in Petach Tikvah in serious condition.

B’chasdei Hashem he was released from the hospital, at which time the parents publicly thanked the medical staff and HKBH for his chessed.
